Estos términos son un acuerdo entre tú y RÜM Intelligence («RÜM», «nosotros») sobre el plugin RÜM para Autodesk Revit y el programa RÜM Studio (juntos, «el Software»). Léelos antes de instalar. Si los aceptas en nombre de una empresa, declaras que puedes obligarla.

1. ACEPTACIÓN

Al marcar «Acepto», instalar o usar el Software aceptas estos términos y el Aviso de privacidad de RÜM (rum-intelligence.com/aviso-de-privacidad). Si no los aceptas, no instales ni uses el Software.

2. QUÉ ES EL SOFTWARE

• RÜM para Revit: complemento para Autodesk Revit 2025 y 2026 que exporta y publica modelos, sincroniza parámetros, conecta con la plataforma RÜM y trae un servidor local (MCP) para que asistentes de IA trabajen con tu modelo.
• RÜM Studio: programa de escritorio para ver el modelo, renderizar, hacer recorridos y correr análisis (luz, sol, luz natural, térmico, viento y otros) en tu computadora.

Incluye sus actualizaciones y la documentación.

3. CUENTA Y COSTO

Para usar el Software necesitas una cuenta RÜM. Lo que corre en tu computadora es gratuito. Las funciones de nube, de equipo y de inteligencia artificial (por ejemplo, conectar ChatGPT o Claude a tus proyectos y a Revit) requieren una membresía RÜM Intelligence con los precios publicados en rum-intelligence.com. RÜM puede cambiar qué funciones son gratuitas; si una que usas deja de serlo, te avisaremos antes.

4. LICENCIA

RÜM te da una licencia personal, no exclusiva, intransferible y revocable para instalar y usar el Software en las computadoras que uses para tu trabajo. No puedes:

• copiar, vender, rentar, sublicenciar ni redistribuir el Software;
• descompilarlo, desensamblarlo o hacerle ingeniería inversa, salvo donde la ley lo permita sin excepción;
• quitar avisos de propiedad, evadir el inicio de sesión, las membresías o la verificación de firma de las actualizaciones;
• usarlo para dañar, saturar o acceder sin permiso a la plataforma RÜM o a datos de otros.

5. ACTUALIZACIONES AUTOMÁTICAS

Cada vez que abres Revit, el plugin revisa si RÜM publicó una versión nueva. RÜM Studio se instala o se pone al día sin pedir confirmación antes de abrirse; el plugin nuevo se descarga mientras trabajas y se instala al cerrar Revit. Sólo se instalan archivos que traen la firma digital de RÜM. Al aceptar estos términos autorizas esas actualizaciones. Si estos términos cambian, el Software te pedirá aceptar la nueva versión.

6. TUS MODELOS Y TUS DATOS

Tus modelos, archivos y resultados son tuyos. El Software los procesa en tu computadora y sólo manda a RÜM lo que tú le pides (publicar un modelo, subir un archivo de clima, mandar un paquete de análisis, sincronizar o compartir), además de lo necesario para validar tu sesión y revisar actualizaciones. Para darte el servicio, nos autorizas a guardar y procesar ese contenido en la plataforma; no lo usamos para otra cosa. Cómo tratamos tus datos personales está en el Aviso de privacidad.

7. PROGRAMAS Y SERVICIOS DE TERCEROS

• Autodesk y Revit son marcas de Autodesk, Inc. RÜM no está afiliado a Autodesk. Necesitas tu propia licencia de Revit.
• «IA con tu llave» en RÜM Studio manda la imagen directo de tu computadora al proveedor que elijas (Google, OpenAI u otro) con tu propia llave, bajo los términos y costos de ese proveedor. RÜM no guarda ni ve tu llave.
• RÜM Studio puede bajar componentes y datos de terceros cuando los necesitas: el limpiador de ruido Intel Open Image Denoise (GitHub), cielos de Poly Haven y archivos de clima de climate.onebuilding.org, cada uno con su licencia y su crédito.
• El Software incluye componentes de código abierto con sus propias licencias (entre ellas Apache 2.0 y MIT); sus avisos viajan junto a los archivos instalados.

8. ASISTENTES DE IA Y CAMBIOS A TU MODELO

Si conectas ChatGPT, Claude u otro asistente, éste puede leer tu modelo y, cuando tu rol lo permite y tú lo confirmas en Revit, cambiarlo. Revisa lo que el asistente propone antes de aceptarlo y guarda respaldos de tus modelos. Los cambios que apruebas son tu responsabilidad.

9. ANÁLISIS Y RESULTADOS

Los análisis del Software (luz, sol, luz natural, térmico, viento, cantidades, costos y otros) son estimaciones para orientar el diseño. Dependen del modelo, de los materiales, del archivo de clima y de las opciones que elijas, y tienen límites que cada análisis explica en su botón «?». No son una certificación, un dictamen ni la firma de un profesional responsable, y no sustituyen los cálculos estructurales, de instalaciones, de energía o de cumplimiento normativo (por ejemplo NOM, reglamentos de construcción o la revisión de LEED) que exija tu proyecto. Las decisiones de diseño y la responsabilidad profesional son tuyas y de los profesionales con cédula que intervengan.

10. PROPIEDAD INTELECTUAL

El Software, su código, sus formatos (como .rumscene y RUM1B), su diseño, la marca RÜM y la documentación son de RÜM o de sus licenciantes. Estos términos no te ceden ningún derecho fuera de la licencia de la sección 4.

11. SIN GARANTÍA

El Software se entrega «tal como está». En la medida en que la ley lo permite, RÜM no garantiza que funcione sin interrupciones ni errores, ni que sus resultados sean adecuados para un fin en particular.

12. LÍMITE DE RESPONSABILIDAD

En la medida en que la ley lo permite, RÜM no responde por daños indirectos, lucro cesante, pérdida de datos o de modelos, ni por retrasos de obra o proyecto derivados del uso del Software. La responsabilidad total de RÜM por cualquier reclamo no pasará de lo que hayas pagado a RÜM en los doce meses anteriores al reclamo o de mil pesos mexicanos, lo que sea mayor. Nada de esto limita los derechos que la ley de protección al consumidor te da y que no pueden renunciarse.

13. TERMINACIÓN

Puedes dejar de usar el Software y desinstalarlo cuando quieras. RÜM puede suspender tu acceso si incumples estos términos. Al terminar, deja de usar el Software; las secciones 6, 9, 10, 11, 12 y 15 siguen vigentes.

14. CAMBIOS A ESTOS TÉRMINOS

RÜM puede actualizar estos términos. La versión nueva tendrá otra fecha y el Software te pedirá aceptarla; si no la aceptas, no podrás seguir usando las funciones que requieren tu cuenta.

15. LEY APLICABLE

Estos términos se rigen por las leyes de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos. Cualquier controversia se resolverá ante los tribunales competentes de México, sin perjuicio de los derechos que la ley te dé como consumidor.

RÜM FOR REVIT AND RÜM STUDIO — TERMS OF USE

These terms are an agreement between you and RÜM Intelligence ("RÜM", "we") about the RÜM plugin for Autodesk Revit and the RÜM Studio program (together, "the Software"). Read them before installing. If you accept them on behalf of a company, you represent that you can bind it.

1. ACCEPTANCE

By checking "I accept", installing or using the Software you accept these terms and the RÜM Privacy Notice (rum-intelligence.com/aviso-de-privacidad). If you do not accept them, do not install or use the Software.

2. WHAT THE SOFTWARE IS

• RÜM for Revit: an add-in for Autodesk Revit 2025 and 2026 that exports and publishes models, syncs parameters, connects to the RÜM platform and includes a local server (MCP) so AI assistants can work with your model.
• RÜM Studio: a desktop program to view the model, render, make walkthroughs and run analyses (lighting, sun, daylight, thermal, wind and others) on your computer.

It includes its updates and documentation.

3. ACCOUNT AND COST

You need a RÜM account to use the Software. What runs on your computer is free. Cloud, team and artificial-intelligence features (for example, connecting ChatGPT or Claude to your projects and to Revit) require a RÜM Intelligence membership at the prices published on rum-intelligence.com. RÜM may change which features are free; if one you use stops being free, we will tell you in advance.

4. LICENSE

RÜM grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to install and use the Software on the computers you use for your work. You may not:

• copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the Software;
• decompile, disassemble or reverse-engineer it, except where the law allows it without exception;
• remove proprietary notices, or bypass sign-in, memberships or the signature check of updates;
• use it to harm, overload or gain unauthorized access to the RÜM platform or to other people's data.

5. AUTOMATIC UPDATES

Every time you open Revit, the plugin checks whether RÜM has published a new version. RÜM Studio is installed or updated without asking before it opens; a new plugin is downloaded while you work and installed when you close Revit. Only files carrying RÜM's digital signature are installed. By accepting these terms you authorize those updates. If these terms change, the Software will ask you to accept the new version.

6. YOUR MODELS AND YOUR DATA

Your models, files and results are yours. The Software processes them on your computer and only sends to RÜM what you ask it to (publishing a model, uploading a weather file, sending an analysis package, syncing or sharing), plus what is needed to validate your session and check for updates. To provide the service, you authorize us to store and process that content on the platform; we do not use it for anything else. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Notice.

7. THIRD-PARTY PROGRAMS AND SERVICES

• Autodesk and Revit are trademarks of Autodesk, Inc. RÜM is not affiliated with Autodesk. You need your own Revit license.
• "AI with your key" in RÜM Studio sends the image straight from your computer to the provider you choose (Google, OpenAI or another) with your own key, under that provider's terms and costs. RÜM does not store or see your key.
• RÜM Studio may download third-party components and data when you need them: the Intel Open Image Denoise denoiser (GitHub), Poly Haven skies and weather files from climate.onebuilding.org, each under its own license and credit.
• The Software includes open-source components under their own licenses (including Apache 2.0 and MIT); their notices travel with the installed files.

8. AI ASSISTANTS AND CHANGES TO YOUR MODEL

If you connect ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant, it can read your model and, when your role allows it and you confirm in Revit, change it. Review what the assistant proposes before accepting it and keep backups of your models. Changes you approve are your responsibility.

9. ANALYSES AND RESULTS

The Software's analyses (lighting, sun, daylight, thermal, wind, quantities, costs and others) are estimates to guide design. They depend on the model, the materials, the weather file and the options you choose, and they have limits that each analysis explains in its "?" button. They are not a certification, an official opinion or the signature of a responsible professional, and they do not replace the structural, MEP, energy or code-compliance calculations (for example NOM, building codes or the LEED review) your project requires. Design decisions and professional responsibility belong to you and to the licensed professionals involved.

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Software, its code, its formats (such as .rumscene and RUM1B), its design, the RÜM brand and the documentation belong to RÜM or its licensors. These terms grant you no rights beyond the license in section 4.

11. NO WARRANTY

The Software is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, RÜM does not warrant that it will work without interruptions or errors, or that its results are fit for a particular purpose.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the extent the law allows, RÜM is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, loss of data or models, or project or construction delays arising from the use of the Software. RÜM's total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of what you paid RÜM in the twelve months before the claim or one thousand Mexican pesos. Nothing here limits consumer-protection rights that cannot be waived.

13. TERMINATION

You can stop using and uninstall the Software at any time. RÜM may suspend your access if you breach these terms. On termination, stop using the Software; sections 6, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 15 survive.

14. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

RÜM may update these terms. The new version will carry a new date and the Software will ask you to accept it; if you do not, you will not be able to keep using the features that require your account.

15. GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. Any dispute will be resolved before the competent courts of Mexico, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer.
